B-Race Tuning |
From Plymouth, this is an SX200,
sporting an Indian 200cc cast barrel off the shelf, a 24mm Delortto carb and a
B-Race RETRO pipe. The pipe transformed the engine from using a Clubman
exhaust, a strangled 11.1hp, to an impressive 15.8hp with the RETRO. As can be
seen on the dyno printout it has a wide spread of power, and is still delivering
over 14hp at 70mph. If you take the state of tune the engine (doesn't) have,
this is a very respectable return in performance.
Low cost performance! And
looks too!
Finished in Satin Black or, bare metal for chroming.

B-Race Retro Expansion Chamber
Fitted to Jim Wischusens GT250, (as
seen in August 2005 Scootering magazine, before fitting the Retro) using AF's
250 Cylinder kit. "This is out of the four exhausts I've tried on this engine set
up by far the best expansion for the AF 250 Engine must count this as THE
exhaust to compliment it. Power is up and a good smooth pull from low down. With
the other pipes the revs were to high or not producing the power low down so had
to run a lower overall gear ratio, now I'm going back to the SX200 gearbox.
Currently achieving over 22HP @ 75mph".
Jim's words, and praise indeed. He is now running a half / short footboard and
full panels.
The "RETRO" pipe utilises the mechanical muffler system as used in all my
designs.
This gives a unique sound, is quieter than the usual absorption mufflers used on
scooter expansions, and doesn't
need packing / repacking.
Finished in Satin Black, bare metal for chroming or Chrome by order.
